Jason Winkler | Professional History
Dr. Jason Winkler is a recent graduate from NY Presbyterian Hospital, having finished his Pediatric residency training at CHONY. He was nominated for Physician of the year in 2010 at NY Presbyterian, finishing as one of the finalists.
He attended Muhlenberg College, graduating as the class valedictorian having successfully completed a double major in Biology and Philosophy and earning awards as the outstanding student in both biology and philosophy. Election to Phi Beta Kappa Society, Phi Sigma Tau International Philosophy Society and Alpha Epsilon Delta Premedical Society were some of his undergraduate achievements. During the summer of his first year in Drexel Medical College he volunteered in Viet Nam as part of the Viet Nam Medical Assistance Program, providing health care and medical education to an under served rural community in Nha Trang. In spite of not speaking the local language, he was an effective educator and clinician for those with whom he delivered services to.
Honors obtained while at Drexel Medical College included Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and Nutrition in Community Service Award for his work in Viet Nam. Besides his volunteer work abroad, Dr. Winkler has participated in Habitat for Humanity, building 2 houses in Yonkers as well as a member of the Big for Big-Little program.
