Professional History

After finishing Medical School and a Masters Program in Pharmacology in my native Brazil, I moved to the US to pursue training in Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and, finally, Psychosomatic Pain Medicine. I have a strong interest in interdisciplinary care, particularly for children struggling with chronic health conditions and chronic pain. Prior to joining the Psychiatry Consultation Service, I worked at a community health center and with Youth in the Juvenile Detention System. As part of my work at Boston Children Hospital, I thoroughly enjoy supervising and working with psychiatry and psychology trainees as well as taking advantage of different research collaborations.
