Boston Children’s Hospital is committed to providing high-quality continuing education to pediatric providers and specialists throughout the world. As a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, we have more than 800 attending physicians and researchers who are in the forefront of the understanding and treatment of pediatric diseases and disorders. Our education and training offerings provide an opportunity to learn from the leading experts in pediatric care.

International Health Education Programs
Boston Children’s Hospital is not only one of the top-ranked pediatric medical centers in the world, but also one of academic medicines finest training institutes where the next generation of leaders in pediatric medicine are challenged to push the boundaries of what is thought possible to save lives. As a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, Boston Children’s has more than 1,000 physicians and researchers who are at the forefront of the understanding and treatment of pediatric diseases and disorders. Every year, the International Health Education Office offers hundreds of physicians and health care leaders from around the globe the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in health care at Boston Children’s with programs offered in Boston and abroad.
The Observership Program provides knowledge of best practices to improve pediatric care worldwide and promote a collaborate environment for exchange of ideas. Observerships are informal learning experiences and do not constitute formal training or patient contact. Observerships are offered to healthcare providers across a number of departments and divisions. As part of the curriculum, observers may shadow clinical activities and procedures; attend daily rounds, lectures, seminars, and other interdisciplinary conferences occurring in the Hospital. 2019 Precision Medicine Summit (September 9- 13, 2019)
The Precision Medicine Summit is a five-day intensive program that covers a wide range of topics in genetics and genomics including clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and state-of-the- art management and counseling practices as well as translational research. The curriculum is targeted at physicians and directors from pediatric hospitals as well as geneticists and genetic counselors interested in advancing their knowledge further. Conference of the Americas in Colombia (May 2-4, 2019)
Boston Children’s Hospital in partnership with eXemedis will be hosting the 2nd Conference of the Americas which will take place in Cartagena, Colombia. The academic curriculum includes talks by Boston Children’s senior faculty consisting of lectures, interactive workshops, clinical case reviews, and interviews. Our customized education programs are tailored to meet the specific needs of organizations and can include a broad selection of clinical and managerial topics.
