Charles (Chas) Hannum, MD was born and raised in Fredonia, New York, a small town in Western New York. He attended the State University of New York (SUNY) College at Geneseo for his undergraduate degree in biology. Dr. Hannum graduated Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He attended SUNY Upstate Medical University for his MD degree and then moved to Boston and completed his pediatrics residency and chief resident year at Tufts MC/Tufts Children's Hospital. Dr. Hannum lives with his partner and their golden retriever in the Fenway neighborhood of Boston. Dr. Hannum enjoys spending time outdoors in all seasons, eating seafood and making music. He sings in a Boston-based a cappella group, plays the piano and writes his own music. He is an avid gardener and has a garden plot in the Fenway Victory Gardens
