Professional History
Ms. Dickinson graduated from UMASS Amherst with a bachelor's degree in multicultural elementary education and worked in various classrooms for several years. She then attended graduate school at Emerson College, with a pediatric focus. After multiple clinical practica and clinical fellowship at a school for children with multiple disabilities, Ms. Dickinson joined Boston Children's in 1998. She has worked in multiple specialty areas and clinics and specializes in diagnostics.
Approach to Care
I seek to support families and parents so that they, in turn, can understand and support their children with communication disorders and developmental disabilities. I believe in play-based, developmental approaches to treatment and evidence-based practice. Mentoring the next generation of speech language pathologists is important to me.
