Joshua completed his undergraduate education at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2011. After finishing a master's degree in microbiology two years later, he enrolled in dental school at UCLA, graduating in 2017.
Prior to dental school, Joshua was accepted into the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Scholarship Program. As a part of his service commitment to NHSC, after graduation from dental school, he spent five years working in underserved clinics in Washington, Nevada, and California. It was through his experiences working with pediatric dental populations that he decided to complete a residency program in pediatric dentistry.
Joshua completed his residency program in pediatric dentistry at Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Boston Children's Hospital in 2024. He is returning to Boston Children's Hospital as an associate in the Department of Dentistry where he enjoys helping pediatric patients from around the world.
The dentist office can be a spooky place for many of our patients and I strive to be a smiling face at the start of the appointment and let the patient express their feelings throughout. Taking our appointments slowly and being thoughtful about patient and parent concerns is always my top priority.
