Professional History

Originally from the Greater Boston area, Kara temporarily moved away to Wisconsin to attend graduate school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After graduation, she extended her time in Madison to complete a post-graduate clinical fellowship, which involved working in the inpatient setting with medically complex adults and children at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and American Family Children's Hospital. Kara then moved back home to the Boston area to continue her career at Boston Children’s Hospital. Kara previously worked as a part of the inpatient Feeding Team, but has since transitioned to an outpatient role. Her primary responsibilities involve diagnostic clinical feeding evaluations and modified barium swallow studies. Kara is also a part of the multidisciplinary Aerodigestive Center, where she provides services to a diverse population of children.
