Kristina began her career in psychiatry in 2009. She worked as a mental health assistant at Beverly Hospital’s Leland inpatient psychiatric unit while she was studying psychology as an undergraduate. She continued working at Leland while she completed her undergraduate and graduate education. Kristina transitioned to working as a Registered Nurse at Leland in 2014. After becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner in 2015, she left Leland and practiced at a community mental health clinic with children, adolescents, and adults. Kristina has always been passionate about helping children and adolescents. In 2016 she was able to turn this passion into reality by joining Pediatric Health Care Associates’ psychiatry department.

Approach to Care
As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I diagnose and treat children and adolescents with psychiatric disorders. I believe a collaborative approach with primary care and psychotherapist is best for each patients’ wellness. My prior experience at an adult inpatient psychiatric unit is what led me to pursue a career working exclusively with children and adolescents. I strive to provide optimal care and believe in incorporating education, collaboration, and an approach that focuses on the “whole person.”
