Professional History

Dr. Thatte completed medical school at Seth G.S Medical College in Mumbai, India. He completed his pediatrics residency at Children's Medical Center/University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. He then moved to Boston Children's Hospital where he completed a fellowship in pediatric cardiology and served as Chief Fellow in his final year of cardiology training. He stayed at Boston Children's Hospital for two years of advanced cardiology training in cardiac imaging and interventional cardiology. As staff in the Division of Invasive Cardiology, his clinical interests include invasive and non-invasive assessment and management of congenital heart disease and pulmonary hypertension. Dr. Thatte also runs a weekly pediatric cardiology clinic at Boston Medical Center where he serves a largely immigrant and marginalized population. At Boston Children's Hospital, he has pioneered the use of a special technique known as Pressure Volume Loop analysis in the assessment of patients with certain types of congenital heart defects.
