Professional History

Dr. Shivani Rangwala is a pediatric neurosurgeon with a unique foundation in both neurosurgery and endovascular interventions. She specializes in the treatment of pediatric epilepsy and cerebrovascular disorders, with expertise in neuroendoscopy, microsurgery, and minimally invasive techniques including MRI-guided laser ablation, deep brain stimulation, stereoelectroencephalography, and endovascular oncology.

Dr. Rangwala earned her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and her MD from the University of Illinois in Chicago. She completed her neurosurgical residency at the University of Southern California, followed by dual fellowship training in Pediatric Cerebrovascular/Endovascular Surgery and Pediatric Neurosurgery at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Her academic work has been recognized through national awards, peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and international presentations. Dr. Rangwala’s research integrates engineering innovation and translational science to advance device development and minimally invasive strategies for complex pediatric neurosurgical diseases. She is deeply committed to improving outcomes for children and expanding access to high-quality neurosurgical care in underserved communities, both locally and globally.

Approach to Care
I strive to bring both skill and heart to every patient and family I care for. Pediatric neurosurgery is as much about trust and understanding as it is about precision, and I am committed to helping families feel supported every step of the way.
