Dr. Rashid Khan excels in Autism Spectrum Disorder, neurodevelopmental disabilities, medical education, and community advocacy aimed at integrating children facing neurodevelopmental challenges. Nationally recognized for her advocacy efforts and innovative curriculum development, she has been honored with the Futures in Neurology Research award from the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) and the esteemed AB Baker Teacher Recognition Award, also bestowed by the AAN. Additionally, she is celebrated as a children's book author.
Having served as the former Medical Director of the Developmental Neurology Program at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Dr. Rashid Khan spearheaded the enhancement of the program, tailoring it to meet the needs of complex neurological patients grappling with neurodevelopmental and behavioral challenges.
In essence, Dr. Rashid Khan's mission is to elevate the standard of care for young patients by assembling a team of empathetic and highly skilled professionals. She endeavors to empower the medical community to effectively address the distinctive requirements of children and young adults with intricate neurological conditions.
Drawing from personal experience within my own family affected by special needs, I connect with patients and their families, understanding the complexities of their journeys.
