Boston Children’s, where the world comes for answers; Franciscan Children’s, so every kid can; Boston Children’s Collaboration for Community Health

In 2023, Franciscan Children’s and Boston Children’s Hospital finalized their institutional affiliation to join together to strengthen the behavioral health care system and improve care for children with complex rehabilitation needs. As a result of this partnership and plans for a new clinical building in Brighton, there is a new funding opportunity for community organizations in priority Boston neighborhoods.

Through the Franciscan Children’s Community Health Initiative, a part of the Collaboration for Community Health, the first rounds of funding have focused on three strategic areas:

  • Expanding and Diversifying the Children’s Mental and Behavioral Health Workforce
  • Promoting Mental Health Through Intentional Youth Engagement 
  • Supporting Community Food Access

Additional funding will be available in the next few years to support projects in the area of Housing. Updates will be posted to this page when available.
