Professional History
Dr. Chiu completed an integrated residency in cardiothoracic surgery at Stanford Healthcare during which he also obtained a Master of Science degree in Epidemiology and Clinical Research. Following this, he completed the Congenital Heart Surgery fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital. At the completion of his training, Dr. Chiu joined the staff at Boston Children's Hospital. His research efforts involve the use of causal inference techniques in cardiac surgery.
