Your allergy team may have determined that you are eligible for a food challenge in the Infusion and Day Treatment Program. Expect to receive a call from our scheduling team offering availability, unless your allergist instructs you to reach out to us.
We offer both IgE-mediated food challenges and FPIES food challenges.
Once your food challenge is scheduled, expect to receive a triage call from one of our NPs to give you more information between one and two weeks before your appointment.
Before your appointment, ensure that you follow the instructions provided by the NP. Most importantly, follow the recipe provided to the food that you will be testing; bring the prepared food with you to your appointment; and stop any antihistamines by the designated date if instructed to do so.
Bring your unexpired EpiPens with you to the appointment.
If your child is experiencing an illness prior to, or on the day of, your appointment, please reach out to the program directly, so that we can determine if a reschedule date is necessary.
